Multiplayer in one plane

This may totally ridiculous , but is it possible for two flyers to meet online and fly in the same plane ?  I love to record flights in the Boeing 717vc and ride as a passenger in the virtual cabin on playback .  I would find it super fascinating to let my fying buddy pilot the plane while I ride in the passenger compartment or fly together in the cockpit and give ( or recieve ) flight instructions , etc.

Pretty absurd I guess ?????????

Thanks Ozzy  .  Seems like this would be a good project for some genius .  I am convinced they can do almost anything .
