I know what you mean - two days ago I dumped FS2002 after a lot of soul-searching (i.e. do I run the two side by side ?)     There's only so many free hours in the day and having seen the step up to FS9 I made the decision - although having said that so far I have found it "a small step" rather than the somewhat exaggerated hype I have been reading.      The big bonus to me has been the quality of some of the add-0n aircraft downloads,  the default stuff will probably soon join my FS2002.

FS9 was a big dissapointment, I like it but It lacks detail in my favorite airport KLNA and it's water effect leaves much to be desired.

I'm one of the holdouts for FS10 and a computer upgrade but I've noticed that some FS9 stuff will run in 2002 and I pick the eyes out of what's around. FS2002 is only getting better for me!!

I couldn't agree more, Colin. Yes, there are some nice models out there - but then don't you spend most of the time in the cockpit?

I prefer to fly passenger jets and things like opening exits, baggage doors etc etc leave me a little cold. There are also some great older FS2k2 and FS2000 planes in my collection that I don't want to dump, and I don't think would run in FS9. The scenery is generally fine (I have many scenery upgrades and terrain mesh additions for my favourite flight areas) so I have few grumbles there.

So yes, until I upgrade my PC (which is likely to be around when FS10 hits the shops!) I'll stay with FS2k2.
