Landing Gear

Some of the planes I've d/loaded wheels disappear into the runway or is above the tarmac. Can this be cured  ??? with editing the airfile. Do  the cog above ground be increased/decreased ?

Yes it can be cured. It is the reference points in the config file but I am not familiar with how to fix it. I am sure somebody will answer your question soon!  ;D

Hi Chris, well this is how it works. In your aircraft.cfg file you'll find a bit that says;

point.3=2.00,  -0.9,  -17.7,   1.27,   1574.8, 0.00, 0.0000,  0.00, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, 5.00, 0.00, 0.00

Points 0,1 and 2 are your U/C
The figures after each are as follows;

       //1  Longitudinal Position        (feet)
       //2  Lateral Position             (feet)
       //3  Vertical Position            (feet)
       //4  Impact Damage Threshold      (Feet Per Minute)
       //5  Brake Map                   (0=None, 1=Left, 2=Right)
       //6  Wheel Radius                (feet)
       //7  Steer Angle                         (degrees)
       //8  Static Compression           (feet)  (0 if rigid)
       //9  Max/Static Compression Ratio
       //10 Damping Ratio               (0=Undamped, 1=Critically Damped)
       //11 Extension Time              (seconds)
       //12 Retraction Time             (seconds)
       //13 Sound Type
       //14 Airspeed limit for retraction (KIAS)
       //15 Airspeed that gear gets damage at (KIAS)

So edit the third number in on those (you'll need to increase to raise the height), and you should be fine ;)
