spot view!

Postby valo1030 » Tue Feb 10, 2004 7:53 am

well, tried my best to get decent fps from fs9...can get solid 40 untill i get to hi dense approaches, then drops to 12 to 15..unacceptable for a nice smooth approach....not so in 2002pro,...get solid 35 to 55 fps, all sliders maxed out, a real joy....ok...my one complaint....or should i say question....is there any trick to getting the spot view to permantly "not zoom" and stay at "cycle fix", instead of having to go to "view option" for every flight!...very annoying...with alll sliders maxed out i think 2002 just as pretty as 2004 (even the clouds)....water texture better also.

Hi valo,

When FS2002 is running in Spot View, press "Alt" to display the menu at the top of the screen. Select "Views" and "View Options".

Uncheck the "Gradual Transitions" box, then click OK.

I've only done it once and it worked for all aircraft. Don't remember for sure, but you may have to do it first to your default flight to make it permanent.

Let us know if this works okay.

Cheers,
JerryH

Unfortunately, you have to do this every flight, unless you save a flight afterwards. I do this at Kai Tak and just change the Aircraft when I need to. However, if I want to start a new flight altogether, I have to deselect the transition. It's no bother after a few times. ;D
