Purchase the program, like the rest of us, and you will obtain the key by E-Mail from the FS Navigator site.
(Otherwise it's an illegal copy).... ...!

Is FSnav worth the bucks?

I'm toying with the idea of purchasing a program like this...however I already have many payware aircrafts with navigation displays, so seeing my actual route with waypoints and restrictions is not a problem, but I have to plot the whole route in the flight computer before I can review it, which can take awhile especially when doing long haul flights...and I'm not using the flight planner in FS, I go to a webpage which will generate a more realistic route for me (only text no visual map)

so I figured by using FSnav I can see the route faster without having to launch FS?

What's your take?

If it wasn't for FS Navigator I wouldn't be flying FS '98/FS 2000/FS 2002/FS 2004.... ...!
It's as simple as that... ...!
Have a look at the FS Navigator site and try the demo,
limited version, of FS Navigator for starters... ...!
You will be hooked....trust me... ...!
It's worth it just for the GPS map showing all the airfield layouts, ATIS, VOR, NDB, ILS, etc, frequencies...!!
..and it runs as part of the FS program...(F9 keypress)...!

Well, it has lots of nice features, but I already have the database with every navaid, waypoint, runway in the world in my Airbus. All those are stored in the MCDU, just search for the VOR, intersection or runway (ie: EGLL09L) and you'll get every piece of info you'll need  :)
However, it would be kinda useful when flying the B737 NG which (unfortuneately) isn't equipped with that kind of search function.

But as long it will plot my flightplan without me having to launch FS 2004 and do it manually I'm satisfied  ;D

P.S. ..Note: FS Nav is part of Flight Sim, so the Flight Sim  has to be running first... ...!

What I like about FSnav is switching to it with F9 and placing the pointer onto a runway and getting the tooltips to give me freqs, approach courses etc when the sim is running in real time.

Hi Guys,

Hey this has been a great thread! As a long time exclusive CFS2 user I broke down this Christmas and treated myself to FS2002.

I am realy enjoying it, too!

As a rookie user I have been cruising the forum over here at Simviation to pick up tips and information.

In my CFS2 set-up, CFO Weather and ACS-GPS are essentials for getting around and having fun.

So, I was really excited to hear about FSNavigator. It is truly a work of art! I have no problem whatsoever with it being payware and will diefinitely payup when the time comes. I did a very long 1 time session today just learning how to use it. I haven't plumbed all of the depths yet, but I get the general idea. Very nice.

Anyway, thanks to all for steering me in the right direction. With the commission from my purchase you can buy a half bottle of beer all around!

Yes, it is brill. Like Fozzer  said earlier, I couldn't fly without it. Not having it would be like having your arms cut off
I do virtually all my flying online and would never manage it without FS Nav.
( should the commission be spread a little further, fellas)

PS.  To Fozzer......Paul, If you read this, how easy is it to put in a new Hard Disc? Noticed you comments about changing bits about.
