Installing C-130

Postby chief1995 » Fri Jan 23, 2004 9:47 am

I am installing a c-130 that comes with a default 737 panel and sounds. I am going to get Clive Ryan's panel and real c130 sounds by Mike Hamby.
My question is do I insatll the pane with defaults and then replace with the sounds and panels I want, or do I install just the plane without the default panel and sound? Or is that even possible to do?
Pleasedont blast me, I am new at this!

Thanks,

Dave

C-130's rule.
There is an old story that goes around every time a new airplane comes along. The crew that is going to the factory to pick up the first model will be ferried there by a Herk.  40 years later when the last one is ferried to the bone yard at Davis-Monthan, a C-130 will be sent to pick up the crew and bring them home.
There I was, running out of ideas, fuel, altitude and airspeed all at the same time.......you might call it a bad day.

Yes, install the panel and sound with the defaults first.  If you open the panel and sound folders you should see only one entry in each one, panel.cfg and sound.cfg.  Each one will look sonething like :

fltsim
alias=B737_400\panel

This just tells the C-130 to use, or alias, the 737 panel and sound.  When you install the other panel and sounds they will overwrite these files with their own graphics and sound.
