need help on a major AI edit.

Postby Triple_7 » Tue Jan 20, 2004 7:51 pm

I need to know what the best freeware program is for adding and deleting AI traffic.  I want to totaly delete the defult AI and replace it with my own.  I need a program that is easy to use and I can specify which routes i want the planes to fly.

Is there a program where you can just pic which aircraft you want, put in the departing and ariving airport codes, and the AI will automaticaly fly the route?

Yes and no.  If you go to www.projectai.com, PAI has some of the best (the best, in my opinion) AI traffic available.

It's literally as easy as downloading, dragging and dropping the airlines that you want, and letting it do the rest.

As for just putting in the IVAO codes, no.  You're not going to find that because the AI traffic (like real traffic) doesn't just fly in a straight line to get there.
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

You could try FSTraffic, which is payware. Having said this, you can specify planes, airlines and even make your own arrival and departure tracks.

Or at least, you could in FS2000 - I have Project AI installed in my FS2002, and it's fantastic, because all of the planes fly the real world routes, plus you can add to it by using Traffic Tools - see the information in that forum. E.g. I still have an AI Concorde BA001 flying between Heathrow and JFK on a daily basis. (And back.)

Thanks for the info ;D.  but i managed to find a freeware program last night called yRoute.  Its easy to use and all i have to do is just specify the aircraft, departing and ariving airports, altitude, speed, and times.  It seems to work just fine.  Now i just have to add more routes to the places i fly most.
