Hi (and help !): 1 more question...

Postby simone_lux » Fri Dec 19, 2003 11:17 pm

Hi everybody,

I am a player of FS 2002, and doing quite well with the game.

I have a big question to ask you: I would like to show my brother how to land.

My idea was to joining in multiplayer mode, and then my brother (as observer) view my cockpit (including the instruments panel) and, connected by phone (I live in China, he lives in Italy !!) explain him some basic of the ILS approach and the GPS / ILS charts.

Oh well... ???, that was supposed to be... how the hell can he work out ? He can only see my plane overpass his plane but nothing... there is no way to view my cockpit.

Another detail: I host a session by IP address trough the internet (note zone.com), and he join as "observer".

Should I install some plugins ? Any idea ? :)

Thanks to all who are willing to help,
Bye !

Hi Simone the best thing to do is download a program called FSHost at www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost
Run this program and then both you and he can connect to the session, and he can observe your flying.
If you run an MP session from FS itself it'll be really slow and jerky, FSHost solves this ;)

Happy landings

Thank you very much ! :)

We can connect correctly, but there's a problem: when we are at the same airport (we choose Milan for trial) he can view my plane in the "SPOT" view. But how he can view what I view from my window ? Which command should be selected ? I try to let him press SHIFT+CTRL+T, as indicated in the help, but nothing.

As soon as my plane move out from his view, he cannot see it anymore.

Thanks once again if you can help ???

;)

:-[ Sorry to insist with my question (here above, the 2nd one).... it seems so stupid, but I really can't find any help in the "Help" an in the FS 2002 menu.

Thanks :)

Simone I've never tried having a cockpit observer before. Can he still follow you in chase view?

Chase view ? I'll try now :)
And let all know the result.

Thanks again,

Simone the only other ideas I've got are either he follows you and is online as a player, or you make a movie that can be played within FS, and he can watch in his FS (including cockpit view).
