Plane Pulling Hard Left on Takeoff?

Postby Cherokee_6 » Wed Oct 08, 2003 10:37 am

Hi All,

When I am taking off in any plane, they all pull hard left once I start building up speed. By the time I take off I have my rudder full right to compensate. Once I am in the air it flys nice and straight...

I have no wind...
I adjusted the FSUIPC (or whatever that module is called) to take out the cross wind on the ground
I have tried accelerating slowly but that does not help.

Any ideas?!

Thanks

Have you checked that the autopilot is not engaged? I had this problem too after saving a previous flight (with engaged autopilot).

Also make sure your rudder and ailerons are centered, all your trim wheels are centered, etc...

If that doesn't work, make sure your joystick is calibrated.

Definitely calibrate it in 2002....I've also got the X45, and I haven't had this problem...great stick!

If its a twin, have you ensured that both engines are running.....I know it sounds a bit trite, but I have done that and wondered why I had such trouble on the ground....if its a prop plane, are props sync'd together ?

Yup both engines full power and sync'd...this also happens on single props...

I have had the same problem with the saitek x45 also recalibrating the stick, but does using it on hardest and most real setting, render it unreal?
