AI military aircraft

Postby andrew_morley » Tue Dec 09, 2003 11:01 am

Anyone know of any military AI aircraft which can be used for FS2002?

I know that PAI do the civil stuff, but I wondered if there was a military equivalent. I have tried adding my own using some downloaded aircraft, however because they are so detailed they really take down the frame rates!

Do you think some of the old FS98 aircraft would act more efficiently with regard to frame rates?

Thanks,

Andy

Look around for some low poly gmax aircraft. Off the top of my head I can think of a couple gmax F-14s, a couple AI only F-18s, Mike Stone's C-130, Vladimir Zhyhulskiy's C-123, Rok Dolenec's KC-135,  David Maltby & Paul Pridmore's Vickers VC10 C1K, FSD's T-38, and Kirk Olson's new F-16 Viper.

That's all I can think of for now, but i'm sure there's more ;)

However, keep in mind that adding military airplanes AI you will have a situation where military and civilian airplanes are mixed in the same ATC frequencies, something that doesn't happen in real life. Please correct this if I am wrong.

Thanks I'll have a look around for some of the Gmax ones you mentioned.

I think you are right about the radio frequency clashes, I don't personally know how to fix that.... maybe someone else does.

However when I am flying a military aircraft anyway, I am forced to use the same civil frequencies so it wouldn't make much more difference if the AI were doing the same.

Thanks for the advice!
