FFX 737-800; no yaw damper? How to get one in?

ok so I learned from Nexus the yaw-damper in my 737-800 must be switched on to get rid of the Flight Controls warning.
But....it seems this FFX model is not equipped with a yaw damper. The switch is on the panel but it does not activate the Y/D. The keyboard "ctr+d" won't do the trick either. Switching to the default 737-400 panel gives the same result. No working Y/D

My question: how can I get a working Y/D in a plane? I hope it is something that can be easely fixed in the aircraft.cfg

Have you tried just pressing the Master caution switch (the big yellow one), this will clear any of the caution warnings. Maybe that's the only thing you need?

Do you notice any significant change in aircraft behavior when you push CTRL+D by the way?

And lastly, Could you post a screen shot of the panel, that would be great!


Edit: I have the FFX 738 and the yaw damper works for me (CTR+D).

yes I clicked the yellow light but it is not clickable. The thing is, when I installed the default 737 panel the Y/D would not work either. Not by pressing the button, nor by ctr+d.
I checked the aircraft.cfg of my ffx 800 and looked under the autopilot section. It said YAW_DAMPER_GAIN=0.0000
I changed the value to 1.0000 and now it works...
Here's the panel I use. I modified it slightly but it's not finished yet. Some different gauges, moved a couple of switches and I added a few buttons (like the de-ice switch). Don't know where I found it but the main bitmap is called 738cj.bmp
Now that I have you looking at it:
Do you know what kind of gauge is at the bottom of the three in the middle? (under the backup attitude and altimeter). There's no real gauge at the moment and I don't know what it should be.

Well,if we're on the same page, the gauge you're talking about is the standby RMI (Radio magnetic indicator)
It consists a compass rose and 2 needles (1 thin and 1 thick). It looks just like the one shown in your panel, but I guess it's just a dummy gauge?
The thin uses signals from VHF NAV/ADF receivers no1, while the thick responds to signals from VHF NAV/ADF receivers no2

As you can see, it has two switches on the sides, where you choose to select VOR or ADF for the resp. pointers

I rarely fly the FFX or the default 737's. BUt I downloaded a panel many months ago which looked kinda realistic.



But, alas, I have the same problem as you, the de-ice caution won't go away (no clickable master caution light). However, the yaw damper works fine!  ;D
Also when you change the fuel flow indicator on the MFD from rate to used, the engines will shut of. I guess the creator placed a short cut to the engine start levers  :)

There are some other flaws on this panel which bugs me but overall its fairly good, and it's freeware  :)
Unfortuneately I don't remember the namer of the panel. Maybe some other members could help me out here!  8)
