LOL I'm certainly no youngster

:) :D :P

There was always a snobbish element in the FS community that considered CFS just a stupid game & the people who liked it mindless idiots.

Now you're putting words in my mouth ;D

LOL You might think this way (in fact I know it well) but I'm not including you with the traditional FS "diehards". They are much worse than you - believe me. ;D

I'll agree with Hagar :)

If I'm flying S&L for more than 30 seconds I get very bored (unless I'm flying something fast and pointy, and even then I might just have to put in a couple of rolls or max rate turns). I do quite a lot of my flying on tower view actually, come to think of it, so most of the time I'm flying past turning round and coming back...

I can see that it is unlikely many people are going to agree with me for now...

I guess thats what forums are for!

'I almost exclusively fly online now and find it very frustrating that I have to deal with immature brats' - Yes I agree it could lead to people starting to try and destroy you in flight. However why should it be a compulsory part of flying online? If you used a server it would probably be able to get a setting which could if required disable it and make your flying nice and safe.

However if Microsoft had made the structure of the simulators the same then that would allow a extended commanality between programs and benefit everyone. Not just those people who enjoy getting 'much more excited about trans-Atlantic hauls in a wide body'.

Oh well just an idea.

I know how about this.... What if they put everything into the same package? By this I mean adding all the types of simulators into one package such as Train simulator, CFS and FS. They could even start adding features for real motor vehicles and boats. Wouldn't that make the the virtual world a lot more interesting?

How about calling it Microsoft Sim World!

Think of the price.

The world is a big place and having a couple of online flyers in it doesn't really make it live up to the idea of being as real as it gets does it?

I'm sure you'll carry on telling me what a stupid idea it all is, but in a couple of decades I'm sure you'll see something similar...If you decide to look outside your cockpit windows that is!

Andy. I don't think this is a stupid idea. In fact the older M$ sims like FS98 & CFS1 are often sold bundled together at bargain prices. Plenty of the members here use & enjoy both but personally, I still think that FS & CFS should be kept separate.

PS. I would like to make clear that I'm not accusing any regular member of this forum of being one of the diehards I referred to. :P ;D
