WWI ends, and a new sport sparks...air racing...

Postby N4733D » Wed Aug 13, 2003 10:12 pm

I am inviting anyone here, interested in helping, to help set up a race in FS2002, Sopwith Camels, default ONLY, NO mods. This would be to represent the races that took place in the twenties with extra WWI - era planes. The race would take place somewhere that was booming in the twenties, down the grandcanyon, someting. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

How about re-enacting the Daily Mail great air race of Paris to London? I know it happened before WWI, but a lot of people are going to find it tough to be on the stick for the length of time involved, and it will involve dead reckoning navigation (no GPS), so that might be fun.

I'm up for it.

Will.

PS for those who know CFS1 quite well there is some free ware scenery called "H World" which contains some race tracks.

Ozzy that does sound like a good idea. Just somewhere early, with real slow, real bad handling airplanes just to make it fun  :P
