TWA Connie radio not working

Postby slimcooper » Wed Aug 06, 2003 1:03 pm

  Hi all,  I just DLed the Super Constellation  twl1049ks.zip in the TWA livery and I cant for the lifr of me get the nav1 and nav2 radios to tune. I can turn the knob but the numbers dont change. I even put a radio from another plane that I knew worked in it as another window and it showed up, looked good, and did the same thing. I alsp have a buddy that got the same plane and his wont work either.
  I went into the aircraft.cfg file and the AIR file and checked to see if the radios were enabled and they were. Any ideas?     Thx, Slim

Check your aircraft.cfg file for the Connie.

See if there's an entry like this:

[Radios]
Audio.1=1
Com.1=1, 1
Com.2=1, 1
Nav.1=1, 1, 1
Nav.2=1, 1, 0
Adf.1=1
Transponder.1=1
Marker.1=1

If not, you can copy the above lines and paste them into the Connie's aircraft.cfg file. I found this fix on this very forum, a while back.
I've had that happen to me, too. Frustrating as hell!!!!

Download the Connie fde from my website and all will be cooooool...

BTW

The switch to bring the radios up on the original panel is totally unnecessary and very inconvenient.

I've redone the panel and put the Nav/GPS switch there so you've got a GPS for those longer flights.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll put that on the site as well as it's only a re-do of the panel.cfg file
