lights

Postby Tequila Sunrise » Fri Aug 01, 2003 8:36 pm

I usually fly during the day so I'm only noticing this now ::). A few weeks ago I installed arrcabs (Found an old copy hiding in my computer ;D), I tried a deck landing at night but the carriers lights flickered on and off making a landing imposible. Today I tried a dusk flight and noticed that all the lights do this now ???, with the exeption of those on my own aircraft.
Does anyone kow what could be wrong or how to fix this?

Craig are you flying from the VC or the 2d cockpit. In the 2d cockpit this doesn't happen, but in the VC its quite common!
No idea why :P

Craig is this happening with a default or add-on carrier?

I wonder if its ethical to distribute a freeware program to your friends after the publisher re-releases it as payware?  lol

Won't help me, because I don't fly onto carriers (I've got my limits!) but it brings up an excellent moral debate, wouldn't you say? ;)
Great edit, Bob.

Yes, I think it is ethical.

It was downloaded when it was free, but I couldn't get it to work. Whilst cleaning out my comp I found it here:
C:\unzipped , so it aint a pirate copy  ;)

Thanks MaV I've made a couple of changes to it, now I'm off to see if it works  8)

I agree, that payware software shouldn't be distributed (even by the manufacturer....cough cough)

But if the program was downloaded when it WAS freeware, can it be distributed as such?  After all, the EULA would state that the program is freeware.  lol

Its a very interesting predicament, to say the least.
Great edit, Bob.

Well, my point is if you download the program when it was a freeware, then the program is made a payware, why can't the freeware version be distributed without it being ethical?

because the designer wanted it remved frome all freeware sites so that people would buy FD3, if Arrcab was still free who would buy FD3?

This is precisely my point!  I'm not advocating it, mind you.  I'm merely putting it out there as a topic for discussion.
