I desperately need help!!!

Postby Super_Game » Wed Jul 30, 2003 4:49 pm

Hi guys! I need your help on something please. I have the program AirED and I made the MD-83 flyable by changing the aircraft_type to 2. When I tested the MD-83 everything works fine; the airplane is flyable now!

You could head to the SimV forums and download a flyable 83.  lol
Great edit, Bob.

I know that, but I have FS2004 and if I download it, the .air file and aircraft.cfg files are different in FS2002... slightly different... so it freezes on start up. I just want to know how to change that specific setting. Thanks.

When you turn left, put in left brake.  When you turn right, vice-a-versa.  This makes your turns tighter. :)

You might also double check to make sure autorudder is off. I had a similar problem recently and found it had mystically turned itself on.

Also be aware that if you do make changes in your Aircraft file that that change may also affect other things. A rudder change may affect aileron effect so keep a copy of the original file for reference :)
White on White fly all night.

Red on White you're alright.

Red on Red you'll soon be dead.

I know that, but I have FS2004

Now see, I didn't know that because this is the 2002 Forum.  lol

Geez, I'm in a wretched mood today. ;D

I've found that some aircraft have "funny" steering. I use a Saitek 3D Gold stick. When I'm taxiing, I would try to turn at about 15 kts and the plane didn't want to turn. But, if I didn't twist the stick all the way to the stop, it would turn just fine. But, if I twisted the stick all the way, it would want to go straight again.
Can't explain that one.
Maybe try the same. Just twist the stick a little bit as you turn.

Who knows?
