A real pity!

Postby Eyelevel » Sat Jul 19, 2003 4:51 pm

Hi all,

I just mananged to do an instant replay of 633 seconds!  :o just a shame you can't save them! as its smooth as silk, unlike the Flight Video!

I don't suppose there is ever likely to be the possibility of being able to save them?

Oh how I wish I could program a bit! lol, but that would be way over my head. ::)

Eyelevel there was a new video program for FS released recently, if you look back in this forum about a month ago you should find a posting about it. I'm about to hit the hay now, but if I remember its name/link in the morning I'll post it if no-one else has.

You can whack out to tape if your video card supports it X yes.
But there is a new utility which was made recently. I'm about to collapse, so this is the last post of the wee hours at she who must be obeyed is giving me a hard time from the nice comfy bed about getting my furry self there to sleep.

I generally pass on payware just out of principle.  lol
Great edit, Bob.

If it's the one I downloaded it isn't worth the trouble. It uses DirectX to run and can't be run alongside another program using DirectX. Thing just crashes when you try to record in FS2002.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who tend to pass on payware, lol

Anyway back to this issue, I was wondering if the fact that I'm getting bad Flight Video performance is because that when I playback, I'm literally having to choose Fly Now and then whilst my Plane is on the runway or at the gate (whatever) I then press the Alt key and then from the toolbar at the top of screen, I choose the Flight Video, and go from there, now my point being that perhaps the reason for the jerky movement is because behind that Video I'm watching, the PC is having to work on the screen that is behind my Video screen, does this make sense? I hope so, don't know how else to word it! lol

Anyway, as an after thought, could'nt I do a Flight Video and then come out of the Sim and use a different program altogether to watch the Video?

This whole thing is confusing me lol

So if I get no joy from this post I'll forget about it and then ask something else!

So many things to ask, I don't know where to start! lol

Cheers

http://www.hyperionics.com/

Look at hypercam there.

I know people have been using it to capture goals from Championship Manager 4, I'm not sure how good a tool it would be with FS2k2 though as I've not tried it. :)

Eyelevel, I don't think the problem is what you say. You can be in the moon and select a video on the sun, but when you select that video the simulator loads the sun, forgetting about the moon, when the video is over, you don't come back to the moon, you continue the flight from the sun, just like a replay. So FS forgets about the moon, so that can't be your problem.
