Postby Scottler » Fri Jul 18, 2003 6:38 pm

Hey everyone, as I'm sure you read in Ozzy's post, a few of us were sent a version of CrashBak to try.

Which version do you have?  I found Crashbak3.zip  The setup.exe date is 6/24/03.  Is that it?

I see the file library was just updated for today, so I suppose I can wait until tomorrow.

I would just like to give Grant a hearty pat on the back, he took all this criticism, and rather than throwing a wobbly he's produced an excellent program in v3.0 with the new effects.
Anyone who has a spare $7 should get this, it makes crashing almost as much fun as flying ;D
I'm off to continue with my CFS3 work, but I might post some gruesome screenies later....

Thank you for the pat Ozzy.

So many, these days won't say what they feel for fear of hurting feelings.
I find your brutal honesty refreshing.

Folks,
Sorry for the delay with the new crashbak.
I hoped it would be available in todays updates.
I just don't feel confortable limking to another site.
If you just gotta have it now it can be downloaded at __sim.com. (replace the "__" with "av")

The file names are "crashbak3A.zip"...This one has a installer.

For those who Hate installers "crashbak3B.zip"...NO INSTALLER, Just extract zip file and run Crashbak.exe

Thanks,

Grant you are a star. I don't know how you put up with all our moaning and groaning.
I hope you get something super nice for Christmas, you surely deserve it.

Mark,

All your moaning and groaning has already helped me to make a better product.

For this I thank you and all the other folks that take the time to offer criticism.

Witness the birth of crashbak3b[No installer].

I prefer to do things manuallly but, assumed that most wanted the ease of a setup.exe.

After reading this forum i saw that a lot of people probably would'nt try my software BECAUSE it has a installer.

I now plan to always offer both types in my zips.

Thanks again for your kind thoughts,
grant

I downloaded two previous versions of crashbak and the didn't appear to work on my system. Whenever I intentionally pranged the kite all I saw was a bird stuck nose down in the dirt.
Will this version work? Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking anyones work for sims, but if the other two did'nt work why should I believe this one will!

This program started 9 versions ago as a free, 4 inch square, 1 button program to enable the built in fs2002 crash effects.
This is probably what you saw in the earlier versions.

I did a month of research and expermentation into the undocumented field of "CRASH EFFECTS"
The result is Crashbak3A.ZIP

I think they are EXACTLY  what you would expect.
Money back guarantee.
Don't take my word for it read the user quotes in the zip file or this forum.

Thanks,
grant
