Display settings

Postby MICROSOFT » Tue Jul 15, 2003 2:03 pm

Hi,

everytime I start FS2002, the display settings get reset to LOW (although my computer can still run the program w/o degrading performance with all the settings at their max level), so I have to manually slide all the bars to the right(max) each and every time I start FS2002.

Also, my Key Bindings are also reset and I have to once again bind specific keys to specific actions.

Is there any way I can make all the settings to be max at the start automatically?

Thanks.

I have never had this happen, but this might help. After setting all your settings and choosing your planes, ect. save the flight as a default flight. Or just press the

What does the '[' key do, in and out of flight?

Also, I downloaded Meljet and the readme says we can walk thru the cabin using flyby mode in activecamera. Now, I downloaded and installed activecamera but I don't know how to walk. Any help?

Thanks

There's a thread on this very subject about two weeks ago.  I know it's a long way back, but to be honest, I can't remember the exact details.  It had to do with going into virtual cockpit mode, then pressing Shift+enter and a bunch of other commands...
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

Hi
For the game settings make sure the fs2002.cfg in the main fs2002 folder isnt read only this will stop the changes from saving. In older ver (cfs2 anyway) if you move the sound sliders in the game menu it would reset all the default settings to the lowest)
As for moving around the cockpit in VC(3d mode/view) Ctrl + Enter or backspace forward and back, shft enter or backspace~up and down as for left and right cant remeber but check out Key assiments under view section in game :D
Hope this helps

Thanks guys.

Yes, in virtual cockpit view, we use CTRL+ENTER, CTRL+BACKSPACE, SHIFT+ENTER, SHIFT+BACKSPACE, CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER and CTRL+SHIFT+BACKSPACE.

The fs2002.cfg and all other files are readable. Maybe some other problem is there. Can I myself make adjustments to the fs2002.cfg file? Can anyone of you save your display settings to the max and then forward me the cfg file?

Thanks.
