Traffic Tools VFR vs IFR - suggestions!

Postby VASX2003 » Mon Jul 14, 2003 12:34 am

I like Traffic Tools, but I am curious about the difference between VFR and IFR in traffic tools. I know the difference for human beings flying, but in Traffic Tools, you have the option of making the flight plans IFR or VFR.

I am sure the IFR follows the glide slope and other ILS information. But what do the AI do if you create a flgiht plan with VFR? Do they just fly around until they find the destination airport like we would do without ILS? :D

Right now, I have chosen all my flights to be IFR, because I can understand ILS.

When creating AI flight plans, it's always a good idea to stick with IFR.  You can build VFR plans, but if they involve an airport that you fly in and out of, you'll notice that those aircraft tend to overfly the airport instead of landing as they should. :)

Oh, that expains why the aircraft never land. Ok then. It's all IFR for me.

Saturdays and Sundays are really busy here at KRNO with GA aircraft, up with student practicing T&G's, and the like.

I followed some tips from folks here and from the TTools and AFCAD manuals and layered another airport, over the existing and made RW16L the default. Now, I've got GA flights about every couple of hours on the weekends only, that depart to Reno/Stead, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe, and back to KRNO, on 16L, all VFR. And these co-exist with the usual IFR Commercial AI traffic on 16R.

You don't have to go that far. VFR traffic will work right along with IFR traffic, just like in real life.

What about such beauties as Kirsten Dunst, Julie Bowen, and I'd even dare say Sara Rue

Hmm--hmmmm.

:o  Okay, so the other two are mediocre, but come on, Julie Bowen??  I'm disappointed...she is without a doubt one of the most beautiful women not just in Hollywood, but in the world.

Shaking my head and rolling my eyes...
