Reducing RPM/Torque

Postby packercolinl » Sat Jun 14, 2003 5:12 am

I'm using the default Dash8(different panel, specs)but don't know how to make the thing respond to no throttle. I mean,if I want 10% torque to taxi I want 10%,not 25 or 30. Is there anything in the airfile or aircraft file that can be changed to give me a throttle response down to zero and stay there when I tell it to?

Thanks all :)

If your panel has a throttle window
set the throttles to "low idle"
If the panel has no throttle window
get one from the 737 cfg
and add it to yours.
In real life you would set the props.

Thanks but thats all been done. The main problem being that even at low idle the torque goes up to 25-30% which is annoying. Cheers.

Sounds like you may need to Recalibrate
your stick, Sometimes it does that when the
program starts. if you move the throttle
up and down it will go to idle!

I've noticed  that  too. It's most noticeable on approach and landing where you get a throttle setting you want but once you land it slowly creeps up to 25% regardless of what happens with the throttle quadrant.
Anyway thanks for the posts but it looks like I'll have to live with it! You know how it is once you realise things won't change you adapt ::)
Cheers
