your throttle has to be idle to engage reverse thrusters and you have to keep hold of f2 :D

Sunfly;

Are  you sure the AC your using
has R-thursters?
Not all jets have them and some of those
that do the builders don't install them.

Well, If i can't use throttle for two commands,  how can I use F2 to set reverses ???, when I press it, the throttle always tend to be in idle

I think the problem is that the joystick throttle impede the keyboar throttle to set reverses, the question is how to resolve it??

Sunfly;

Goto assignment and clear anything on

the t-reversers and restart FS, then open

assignments and reassign F2, tell me what

happens

PS tried it on my M$ stick and its a no go
has to be F2 and no command in the
joystick side of assignments.

I reassingned it, restart FS2002, but can't resolve the problem, the throttle still tends to be in idle

Is there some one that have the same joystick or a similar joystick with throttle control that can use reverses??

If so, pls tell me how

I don't  have the same joystick as you, but I can assign many functions on my setup...its the Saitek X-45 Hotas...I don't even know all the programmable functions as I am only running on basic and have yet to move to the advanced setup....I can put thrust-reverser on a number of buttons.....

For Rifleman

Postby va_chairman » Sun Jun 15, 2003 8:09 am

Hey Rifleman, I also have the X-45...great stick (though I bought it primarily for the throttle quadrant.  Best one I was able to find!)  Question though..what assignments do you have set?  I can't seem to find a good combination that I'm happy with.  I always end up leaving SOMETHING on the keyboard.  Also, do you have anything on the M1-M3 buttons?  And finally, the last thing I'd like to do (if I can!) is set it so I've got the rudder trim on the top dial and the elevator trim (pitch trim) on the lower dial.  Is this possible?  Thanks!
No, Orville. You went last time.

As I said, I am only using my X-45 in basic and not in advanced mode.......I do however have a few things programmed......
I have on the throttle side..., gear, flaps, pitch trim, ail trim, brakes/brake release, rudder
On the joystick I have...notepad access, smoke sys, view scroll(spot view), view options, map view, spoilers
Although this is not optimum, it is enough for me to fly most flight regimes......

Check your FSUIPC documentation. I think I remember something about that in it. If you don't have it then I think it's gone payware now but it's still worth getting for that and the other things it can do.
