Help ! Big Squares instead of Nav lights

Postby Androo » Tue Jun 03, 2003 3:10 pm

Can some one help please ......

When I switch nav lights on , I get big black, green, red or white squares on the enda of my wings !

I'm also getting waves at coastal scenery produced as white squares.

Any  ideas ?

Thanks !

What kind of graphics card have you got? Sometimes an old graphics card will struggle with FS2002's lights. I've had the same problem and don't have a fix, but it tends to disappear after a while.

Shot in the dark in an attempt at a fast fix:

Disable Transform and lighting in the FS2002 hardware options.

If that doesn't work, we need the hardware and driver details for your graphics card.

You might also want to disable texture sharpening, as that can sometimes cause graphics anomalies.

The rule as always is change one thing at a time, so you can tell what works.

Try closing FS and going to control panel  in Windows.
In control panel open display. Look around in display
until you find settings for 3d graphic capabilities.
If these settings (usually a drag bar) are set to full
they can easily upset your graphics in fs2002.
Set the bar or number or whatever down to three
quarters or half of full and try fs2002 again. This
works in most cases. good luck / Nek
