The way I land the 737 is bring it down on the approach button, and when I'm a few miles away, disengage autopilot (and autothrottles) and fly it down, keeping the VASI lights at two white two red. That way you'll land not too soon and not too late. I usually have airbrakes armed (shift + / ) and autobrakes set to 2. I'll bring the plane in at about 140 knots, and as soon as I'm on the ground, I press F2 until maximum reverse thrust is engaged. Doesn't take much of that to stop a 737!
