Landing speed 737-700

Do someone know the appropiate speed to land a 737-700/800/900  ??

140 knots on the appropriate fuel amount, flaps etc, once you pass over the threshhold (the four long white stripes on both sides of the beggining of the runway) put throttles to reverse thrust and flare about 10 degrees then land (Note: you should be landing right in between the 2 rectangular solid white marks painted on the runway).

Reversers before touchdown? I thought you popped the airbrakes and hit the reversers as soon as the mains hit the strip. I may be wrong but I dont think so, can someone w commercial experience verify this?

The way I land the 737 is bring it down on the approach button, and when I'm a few miles away, disengage autopilot (and autothrottles) and fly it down, keeping the VASI lights at two white two red. That way you'll land not too soon and not too late. I usually have airbrakes armed (shift + / ) and autobrakes set to 2. I'll bring the plane in at about 140 knots, and as soon as I'm on the ground, I press F2 until maximum reverse thrust is engaged. Doesn't take much of that to stop a 737!

Nah - due to some unfortunate mid-air accidents a few years ago, aircraft with reversers now have safety switchs fitted so the reversers can only operate when the gear has been compressed ie when on the deck. So you can't activate reversers before touch-down - which is how FS2002 works.

BTW - I'd say 140 kts on the GS is a bit on the slow side but I haven't seen a manual. Wouldn't like to have a low level go-around at that speed - I reckon you'd keep sinking for quite a bit before you managed to get back to a positive rate of climb. But I might be wrong...

I've been bringing mine in around 160... kinda fast, but now I realize after reading the postings that I have been flying FULL cargo and lots of fuel which probably accounts for the higher speed... Wouldn't want to slam it down --- IT'S ALL in the flare I guess.

Nothing like cranking up your speakers and listening to the reverse thrust.!!!!

as far as i was aware the threshold its the solid white line that starts the runway, or green lights in the dark, not the 4 white stripes or am i missing something:)

I always thought it was the green lights too, funnily enough so does Rod Machado (The Instructor in Learn to fly.

I don't know the proper landing speed but it should come naturally if you are going too fast or slow. If this doesn't help I use between 160kts and 170kts

I also turn off the autopilot a few hundred feet up, and target between 145-150 kts manually. Any faster, and with flare, you tend not to touch down until you're halfway down the runway!

10 degrees flare???????? are you trying to cause a tail strike?????
I would say 3-4 degrees, don't pass 5!!!!
