Liam there are loads of airports both around and in the Alps! Are you looking for a specific mountain or what?

As also replied in the 'Courchevel' post of today, this is a useful site:

All with pretty short runways, though.  If you need a long runway you're probably flying something that shouldn't be anywhere near the Alps anyway or you haven't found the brakes yet.

As Ozzy says, you're spoilt for choice anyway as the Alps are pretty widespread (I presume you're referring to the European ones) taking in France, Austria, Switzerland and Northern Italy for starters.  So if you must have your long runway try Zurich, Geneva, Salzburg or Grenoble or Turin.

LIMW has a 4200' runway but its in the alps

Switzerland is right in the Alps. Austria too. The Alps is a big area! Annecy in SE France is a fine airport to do an Alpine tour. Right in the Haute Savoie Alps & near to Mont Blanc, the highest peak at around 15,000 ft.  As far as I remember it can take 737's ...  maybe more - maybe less..

You refer to long runway which suggests big jets. Though the best way to explore any specific area is with a small STOL aircraft or Heli. With a jet you are out of it in minutes & have to travel so fast that local appreciation is near to impossible  8)

I used to use a great high location Swiss Scenery for FS2000 - which would probably be fine in FS2002.

some other references (FS2000 should work in FS2002)
