Foz my friend, I've been flying the XL for quite some time....even from back in my FS 2000 days and I am happy to see it in someone elses hangar......Like you, I also downloaded all the planes from Zenair.......I thought I was the only one to fly such homebuilts by Chris Heinz, and the reason I do it is because I actually got to meet the man at a Homebuilt trade show in Toronto about ten yrs ago.....I can't say that about any other plane that is available for the sims........

I also have those little beauties in my hangar. Not that I met the designer or anything. My first love is vintage light aircraft for which there is no category in this poll. For me, it's a lot more fun flying light aircraft & that's what flying is all about. I never fancied being a bus driver.  ;)

Well, I must say, I am definately a fan of really big jets!  Little ones don't quite attract my attention.  I love the sheer size of the 747, and the roaring of the engines and I can go on for a long time, but I'm busy and have to end it! ;D

Happy Flying
Greg

I voted (like some of you I suspect) for small props and big jets.

The Baron is still possibly my favourite aircraft because of it's versatility, and the number of hours I've invested in tweaking the thing of course.

However, there's something about flying the really big iron that has always appealed. It's a completely different experience. It reminds me of a program I once saw on the really big oil tankers where the captain of one was being interviewed, and mentioned that in order to make a change of course when sailing at 15 knots, he had to turn the wheel 5 miles away from where he actually wanted to make the turn. Bit like an Antonov 225 really... ;D

Very difficult question. I go through phases; airliners, small props mainly...sometime vintage stuff....always changing depending upon mood....sometime short flights to small airports ( I'm a TTools/AFCAD nut), other times long flights....varies quite a bit.

The beauty of all this is that, unlike in real life, you can fly almost anything you fancy. It would be very boring if everyone had the same preferences.  ;)

small props with big engines (Yak-18T with a 400hp engine)

Anything which doesn't try to be fancy with MFD's
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

My favourites in my Hangar are the Yak 52, (tricycle), and the Yak 50, (tail-dragger)..!

For me, small, single engined GA props, flying in and out of small GA airfields.... 8)...!

Hi Ken,
Nice to know someone else is flying the lovely Zenith planes.. ;D...!
(I've got the three types)... ;)...!

Well worth a download, especially if you fancy a super float-plane in your hangar...!

Just tried one and I love it. Nice handling and I even managed to do a little aerobatics in the taildragger version. Gonna have to edit in some smoke effects.
