Increase of parking brake efficiency?

Postby microlight » Fri May 16, 2003 11:54 am

If you have an aircraft that tends to creep forward on the runway with the parking brake on, is there a way of increasing the efficiency of the brake (e.g. in the .cfg file) that will stop it doing this? Or do I have to reduce engine thrust?

Thanks!

Default aircraft or not micro?

Braking stuff is in the air file - but some creep does often happen on some heavies at full takeoff thrust. If it's happening at idle then you've got a problem

You can adjust the brake strength with Aired.

The parameter is a sub-parameter of Rec 1101 (Flight Dynamics) but this isn't confined to the parking brake, so you will find yourself with overall sharper brakes than before.
