Joystick

hey, im kind of a new simmer and   well ive been using the keyboard  which isnt anything fun anymore..  i have an old joystick and i need some help installing it into the game. Any suggestions. thanks in advance

I can try and help...first of all, what operating system are you running? What are your system specs? Do you have a sound card (I am sure this answer is obvious, but I thought I would ask)? Is your joystick a USB or a 12 pin connector?
With the answer to these questions I am sure that we could all help you.
