Thanks Ric for that list again.  I've got those plus the others on that other site but SESM seems to be the flavour.
There is another hole in the ground in Guadalcanal 'though I've forgotten the code. It may well be on that list.
Cheers :)

Anyway, I posted a list here a while back, so I dug it back out for you to try. These are the most extreme airports I know of in FS2k2.

I forgot that I saved this list on my computer, just found it tho :D

Just to add to the fun try CJQ6 for a moving target landing. Funny things happen above the 80th Parallel :)

Phew... after about 6 attempts I was able to put the 747 down at SESM.  Taking off was not a problem at all (10% fuel).
For my landing I approached on a heading of 300.  I think that approach is easier than 120.  Looks like the wall is lower on that side.  When I came over the crest I was doing 146 kts IAS and then went into a dive bomb with spoilers on.  Right before I hit I pulled all the way back into a flare.  I was doing about 196 kts at this point.   Then reverse thrust to slow me down enough to stop.  Again, phew...

Well, below is what happens to a 747 at LAKO at about 120 kts on a grass strip (during landing mind you).

Well done chauvan!! :D  I tried a 747 but I guess I'm too used to the turboprops. I piled into the wall at about 80kts-obviously don't know how to fly those big suckers!  ;D

Gear going up, up, up!

Stop screaming back there!

The weather for our destination reports broken clouds, but we'll try to have them fixed by the time we get there...

Over the top, nose hard down, throttles back.

After a quick circuit, I'm lined up ready for the shot.

LOVE THAT!! Great effort. You don't deserve the end result though. I think I won't try to better that  'til I've done some more big jet flying. In fact I've convinced myself to stick to a Pilatus Porter in just those sorts of situations.  ;D
