Engine start/stop

I am new and am wondering if there is a way to start and stop the engines manually?  Everytime that I start a flight, the engines are automatically started.  Is there anyway that I can click or check something so that I can start my engines when I feel like it?  When I land at an airport, and taxi to the gate, is there anyway that I can shut the engines down.  Now I know on some planes that you can just hit the main power switch, but most or all of the planes that I have downloaded don't have a main power switch to turn off or on.  Any help would be great, so I am a big dork trying to feel like a real pilot.

This is a easy one. just hit your fuel lean button.
Mine is set {-} for lean {+} for rich so I don"t
know which is which on yours

To restart press {e} becareful and make sure all
the engines are restarted before takeoff
AE- a Lear 45 does not have enough rudder
to take off with one engine
at 100% power

I think there's a utility that will do that for you. I just start from a saved flight where I saved after I shut the plane down. Be careful though, I found at least one plane (Cessna Caravan) with an inaccurate startup procedure in the kneeboard checklist. Took me a couple days to figure how to start it.  The fuel condition lever must be moved to "Low Idle" before engaging the starter.

I've never had any problem with starting the caravan...

You don't really need to create a new flight every time you want to fly. When you're done with a flight after taxing to the gate, shut everything down and save the flight. Next time you want to fly, load the flight where you last left off

That's what I do, and I rarely have to create a new flight. I just continue where I've left off and do this for weeks on end.

It could be. I put "Low Idle" in because previously it was set to "Cut Off" before hitting the "Start" switch. I couldn't get it to start that way so I changed the checklist to "Low Idle". It starts now but I have no idea whether that's the actual setting in a Caravan.

If anyone knows please let me know. If it's "High Idle" then I'm buying. Unfortunately where I'm parked at the moment they only serve Vodka.
