After spending a month exploring the U.S., I finally started my RTW trip back in mid March, I left out of San Diego and stopped in Hawaii which is kind of nice, since then I have explored the islands of the south pacific, New Zealand, Australia (sydney is nice), most of the Islands of Indonesia, Maylasia (the tallest building in the world is in Kuala Lumpur, but thats about all), I've been all over Southeast Asia and didn't see much worth mentioning, I am currently in Hong Kong, which is quite nicely represented and I suggest for anyone traveling RTW it is worth a visit.

That's pretty much what I'm doing. In that same region too. If we meet at some airport I'll buy first virtual round.  ;) I'm island hopping from Hawaii to Tokyo right now. I'm not really doing a RTW flight though just flying where I think the scenery will be nice. Not really keeping a journal either ('cept the one in my head) If it takes me RTW then fine if not...

I liked Hong Kong too. I spend almost a week exploring the area. Just couldn't resist the temptation to take the baron under the bridge before leaving.

If you took off from San Diego then you were only a couple miles from where my father lived just after WWII. He worked at North Island NAS as a Radar Tech.

Like I'm telling everyone lately, if you want nice mountain scenery try flying through Nepal. They have some whopper Mts.

I guess i'm almost done with an 'unofficial' RTW race. I flew from seattle to honolulu in my B-17. After exploring hawaii for a while in different aircraft, I made my way down to Australia. After spending some time down there, I made my way up through aisia, then europe, then crossing the atlantic today in a concorde

Never did quite locate that sucker. You'd think something that big would be easy to find but I checked out the stories of people who climbed it and none of the towns they mentioned were on the map in FSNavigator (they didn't have an airport). I couldn't find a peak that tall either. Highest I found there was about 22,000 ft. I did find the K2 peaks in Pakistan though 25,700.

I just noticed something on your site Cherokee. Did you know that you left your plane's door open in the rain? Gonna be full of water when you get back.  :) :)

Tipster and Cherokee, thanks for pointing me in the right direction as far as my website quest, I have wanted to build one as long as I can remember, it will be much more than just a chronicle of my flight sim adventure,  I have started working on it and should have a section dedicated to my simpiloting exploits soon, there is a lot I want to do on my website and when it is ready I will post the address here.
Tipster, I downloaded and installed your baron panel, then took a night flight around Hong Kong, my compliments to you, it's the most awesome panel I've seen yet.
Matt-I will probably be in Tokyo next week, I will be making stops in Tapei and Shanghai along the way. and as for flying under the bridge in Hong Kong, good luck, I tried flying between the towers in Kuala Lumpur and it didn't turn out very pretty. But then again it's like I told my wife,  crashing whilst screwing around is a lot different than crashing when trying not to crash.

Have a good one all!
Still no linked images allowed around here Paz! Naughty...

Glad you like the panel Paz and best of luck with the site.

I'll look forward to reading about your own RTW exploits. :)
