Clouds!

I've  been tweaking with cloud amounts and levels but I cant find a good height.  So what im saying is, do any of you know of a good amount of clouds at a good height that looks good?

A dense amount of clouds(almost overcast - but not quite) is sufficient at about 10,000-15,000ft. Try 6/8 or 7/8 in the cloud density. It works for me.

I download the weather and winds aloft in the weather menu. That can turn up some interesting things.

Check into an automatic weather generator like Weather Maker 1.4 and all of FSW clouds.  This is a great combination.
Do a search for them....

Multiple cloud layers is always cool!

Where-abouts did you come across "Density" in the Weather/Clouds Menu...?
I've looked for it...can't find a reference to it*... ::)...!

P.S. ...*got it. It's in Options > Settings > Display > Cloud Density.....
I've got mine set midway at 50. (Haven't tried any other settings). It seems O.K.tho' .... ...!

I have to agree with Packer... I use real world weather, it is the best... while sometimes it doesn't turn things up to what you want, but the winds can be tremendous at times, and often even the clouds.

Connect to the internet, select world, select weather and then click on download real weather and make sure the winds aloft box is checked! This often times provides more excitement than the mind can imagine!!!

Hi Sean... ...!
It's all very well for you and Packer with your 24 hour, High-speed, Super-Dooper, Broadband, Internet connections to keep dialled into real-world weather, but for us poor Evenings and Week-end, 2-hour cut-off types that would be a luxury....LOL...LOL...LOL...!
So we have to put up with FS 2002 Weather and Weather-Maker 1.4 fixtures..... .....LOL...!
By the way. I notice that FS 2002 produces real? fluffy clouds, whereas Weather-Maker, although very good, only seems to produce varying visibility, (fog, mist, etc)*...?
I still like Weather-Maker tho'...good program...!
(..any offers to pay for a Broadband connection for me..)...?...LOL...!
