What add on's?

Postby cbxmaint » Thu Apr 10, 2003 10:11 am

I'm new to FS2002 and I was wondering what are decent add on's that will enhance the FS2002 experience. There are so many downloads.  Thanks in advance. :D

there are millions of add on's, but what you certainly must have...

- download projectAI packages to make your AI traffic more realistic

- the Meljet777

- Posky's planes (744!)

- the I3D B-1B

- ...

these are just a few things i can come up with but as i said before, there are lots of more good ones available!
Raw power...the J-58.

It really depends on personal preference.  If you like flying big heavy jets get some textures etc and some international airports.  If it's bush flying you will want stuff for that.

What I do is periodically go through the downloads section and then make a note of the last page number at that time.  When I check back later I only need to look at new pages.

I would say that Traffic Tools is the most nearly "essential" as you can add more realism to the AI flights.

If you're new to FS2K2, then it might be a good idea to first get a good understanding of how the simulator works. There's allot of addon downloads that you can get that actually change the configuration of the program, itself. So, you have to be careful. It's too easy to really screw things up if you don't know for sure what you're doing.

Trust me.... The voice of experience!

What makes FS2KS so much fun is that it's a work in progress. There are many, many add-ons, including prop planes, jets (military and civil), Project AI stuff (a must, I believe), Active Camera Pro (for cool flybys and unique vantage point views), FSNavigator, etc. etc. Check out the download section here and see what's available.
