Taxi Speed Stuff.

Postby kilroyzhr » Mon Apr 21, 2003 11:19 pm

I downloaded this file  (FS2002 Panels: Taxispeed Additional switches) but there aren't any install instructions. Did I miss something, or am I missing some other downloads that go with it. There isn't anything in the file that said squat about any of this ???

:)Could you specify exactly where you downloaded this file. That way we could look at it and help you.

;)

Couldn't be easier. It's only an exe file. Drop it into your main FS2002 folder and click on it to run it.

I never knew him but I understand that the late John Stottlemire who wrote it was a very clever guy who will be missed by the flight sim community

BTW

You can only run it while FS2002 ISN'T running

Ummm.... I don't know, but I suspect we're dealing with Rob Barendregt's Taxi speed gauge rather than Taxispeed.zip for A.I. speed here.

If so, the panel download should have included Rob's documentation - it's a stipulation he puts on allowing other people to use his gauges - for exactly this reason.

Yeah I think you're probably right John. But why would anyone want a taxi speed gauge on their panel - you just change speed using the throttle

;) ;D

Hey you should take a look at it!!

Not only does it control your taxispeed for you (not the easiest of things in some aircraft) but it also resets your flaps and spoilers on landing!

Lazy man's toy  know. ;D

Yes, the taxispeed guage is actually very useful! Having tried it on Tipster's Baron panel, I can confirm that it's pretty neat and saves you taxiing too quickly or too slowly.
