Hi Bird man. I've only experienced this when messing around with the [contact_points] entries on my own stuff. This particular aircraft looks a tad tail-heavy to me. If you're familar with editing Aircraft.cfg you could try moving the main gear positions back a little.

Another little trick is to hit the Y key & see if that fixes it.

PS. Just a thought. Are the engines running when the sim loads? If you recently changed it to a cold start that might explain it.

Umm :), I don't think i've changed anything recently, but I have put fuel consumption on ::) - and damage ::), that could have done something I suppose :-[.
I've also not altered any scenery, (or whatever 'contact_points' are! ???)
  I'm pretty sure its not the aircraft, ive had it for a good while now and I know it pretty well as i've probably flown it the most ::). look at this though-

Slewing doesn't help :( and the engines are running when I start.

What a shame, thanks for the ideas Hagar.

Ah, I think the damage explains it. Seems the gear suspension isn't strong enough. The [contact_points] entries define the gear in Aircraft.cfg. Open a default Aircraft.cfg in Notepad for an explanation. Each problem aircraft would have to be tweaked individually to fix it. It's a tad complicated & could take a little figuring out if you're not used to it.

Maybe use the original default flight at Meigs. Then change aircraft & see if that helps.

PS. My tute here explains the problem. http://www.simviation.com/lair/Sinking.htm
It will only definitely fix the aircraft used as an example but might give you an idea of where to start.

PPS. Think I found the Frontier Airlines DC-3 in your shot. I used the variable from the CFS2 default C-47 & it seems to work fine. Try changing the entry mentioned in my tute to 0.44 (instead of 0.2). Here's the complete line.
point.0= 1.000, -38.417, 0.000, -0.833, 1574.803, 0.000, 0.666, 57.660, 0.44, 2.500, 0.916, 33.000, 33.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000

Hasnt worked. ;)

  Are you sure its to do with 'contact points', as sometimes the wheels work fine ???
  I have been doing a bit of touring so I may have landed at an airport, saved and restarted it another time and it may have figured that id broken them on my landing, my landings aren't always too great.....................................................................

Is this happening at the same airport or any of them? Some airports have some anomolies in their runways which is why I'm asking,

I think it fits, the problem occured at the same airport - but not always and the first time it happened I did drive over the grass :o as it was quite late ;), so it could be the Airport, my driving over the grass ::)
