I'm discovering the route as I go along LOL.

The range is based on a stock Baron.

Unfortunately, the reason you can't get anywhere near it in the default is because Microsoft didn't realise that for the last 6 years or so, Raytheon (who manufacture the Baron) have been producing them with 97 gallon fuel tanks - 194 gallons in total.

Easter Island in Chile has a great runway. It was made for the main purpose to allow a space shuttle to land there.

Then, you can go to an island called "Juan Fernandez" maybe.

Have you considered using the bering straight to get from asia to North America then travelling south? It's easier on the aircraft's range no doubt. And for aircraft have you considored the Meridian, it's a fairly good aircraft, or the Pilatus PC-12. :)

Way to go BloodWolf. Good luck mate. I'd have tried the RTW thing, but Tipster got there first, so I'm doing all the European capitals in alphabetical order instead, I'll try and get a couple more legs done over Easter.
Good luck anyways and keep us posted on your progress.

For getting across the atlantic, I'm gonna go across canada and Greenland..then there are some ariports along the way, should be able to make it in my plane. It's raining in my current location, and snowing along my route in the Sierra Nevadas, going to be an interesting day. I'm not sure how I'll release updates about my fligt, I was thinking my website, but that would be such a pain in the rear to do. Hmm, I'll think about it...

:D Happy Landings,Bloodwolf! I did that&it was a bitch! Heres my flight profile:Lockheed Constelation"Super H"(NO GPS) Departed Cleveland-Hopkins(KCLE) to NY La Guardia to London Gatwick. Then on to Cairo to scope the pyramids. From Cairo I took a northerly route over Southern Asia so I could orbit Mt Everest a couple times before heading to Hong Cong.(great sight, but the connies engines really wheezd,asFL23 is about her limit) After leaving Hong Kong,I headed south to Sydney-one of the finest cities on the globe! From there it was on to Tokyo, then to honolulu,to LAX , then for the final leg of my global oddesy-home to cleveland. The whole trip took me 6 days, and I kissed the virtual ground when I got it done, but it was a Blast!,and the Constelation is a wonderfull plane from a bygone era. anyway, enjoy your flight, and good luck-Dont forget to write! ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D

Shoulda stopped in Moscow, If it is anything like the real deal(I know some cities aren't in FS, arent the real deal that is) it should be the best city in the sim,wel that's my opinion, hopefully it will be good weather.

Yah,I thought about  Moscow for the RTW,but Id been there in earlier flights, and found the runways rather short."Connie" needs alot of concrete,as it has no autobrake/thrust reversers, etc. And it needs even more for takeoff.KCLE 5R is 8000Ft and I needed every inch! I am thnking of doing this again,(youve inspired me) mabey this time with a DC-3;Good range, exellent handling,STOL,but dreadfully slow.Ill take the "Northern route",I.E.:Cleveland to Gander to Thule to Gatwick (I hate Heathrow-to mutch traffic) to Tempelhoff to Moscow to Vladivostok to Ancorage to Winnipeg to O`Hare to home-KCLE-Hopkins.HEY,Ill meet you in Moscow & buy you a Vodka-How bout it? 8)

This all depends on what type of pilot you are.Are you a bush pilot type,or do you go for heavy jets? On my RTW,I chose Super Constelation because it offers long range but requires piloting skills not needed with a 747-400 with all the whizz-bang extra gizmozs.I recomend The "connie".Its been some time, but I downloaded both the National airlines"Super H"and EXELLENT Panel right here at simviation-check `em out

I've got a Quick Reference World Atlas that I use a lot. You can also use your GPS ;)
