Reporting Bugs in Default Scenery?

Postby Cherokee_6 » Tue Apr 15, 2003 2:11 pm

Does anyone know of where you can report bugs in the default scenery for FS2002?
Or is there a place the M$ has posted fixes for certain aspects of FS2002?

For example...if you take off Northbound from Yellowknife, NorthWestTerritories, Canada there is a wall of water in front of you that is not a waterfall ;D

I have been there before and there should be just a lake...
Can stuff like this be reported somewhere?

Thanks!!!

Unfortaunately Cherokee the answer is NO! There are numerous faults in 2k2, and a lot of important things missing, the only area that is really correct is the W.coast of America. Guess where M$ is based?

even if there was somewhere to report the faults, i doubt they would be interested. Even more so now that ACOF is just around the corner.

We musn't forget that PEI is missing, sure everything is there but land.
Also there are numorous areas that are hilly in real life that are as flat as a pancake in FS2002.

I have to agree... While there should be a place to report the bugs to M$ (for future versions), there aren't and with FS04 (ACOF) around the corner, hopefully some of those rodents... ooops, bugs have been fixed.

Best bet, learn scenery design and fix some of them yourselves as MS doesn't like patches. On the PEI there is a fix that was uploaded at AVSIM a few weeks back. for the Yellowknife, I happen to have an FBO there for my VA and fixed the wall of water, email me and I'll send it to you.

I rather like to think of the default scenery as a base to work from. There are guys designing scenery all over the world freeware and payware. If you want to fly local, enhance local, or do what I do and fly all over the world and convince yourself that what your seeing is really it!!
White on White fly all night.

Red on White you're alright.

Red on Red you'll soon be dead.
