New to FS 2002

Postby rick327 » Tue Apr 08, 2003 2:01 pm

I have had all 3 Combat FS for some time. I just got FS 2002 Pro. Can someone give advice as to what are some "must have" addons for this? Is installation of aircraft and scenery the same as the combat flt. sims? Any advice would be appreciated.  Rick

Well, gad to see you bought FS2002. On installing scneery, aircraft etc. I believe it is very similar to CFS2, but all/ 99.9% of the add-ons for FS2002 come with installation instructions. As for must have add-ons, I don't think there really are must-have add ons, because one man's garbage is another man's treasure. Arg, I have been beaten.

Take a look at the top 20 downloads here at SimV. The download numbers speak for themselves ;)

I have an idea this was aimed at me. LOL

Thank you all for your input. Hagar, I also am partial to old warbirds and small planes. Now I have to find the time to download some of the planes, scenery etc.

or instead of doing all that research right now like the others suggested, you can play it untill you find something you want changed.  Then go find the addon to make the change.  For me, my first addon was the jetways from the terminal to the plane at DFW.  The airport by default doesn't have them, so I fixed it.

Simviation has a lot of great downloads.  But so do other sites as well.  It is worth a look to read the articles that are posted on this site and others.  Do a search and check it all out.  FS addons are like a childrens toy box.  There is a lot of toys to be played with, but you have to sift through them all to find the best....
