CHANGING PANEL. MISSING SOUND

Postby PacoVilly » Mon Mar 31, 2003 10:12 am

Hi All,
I have just installed a plane for the V.A. I am playing-working for. It is a BAe Jetstream 41 but it has the panel of the King Air, so looking for panels in Simviation I found the magnificent Twin Turboprop panel v2.0 (State-of-the-art) made by David Burgin.

When I installed it in my FS2k2 Pro, I have lost ALL the sound for the plane. I think that maybe the gauges do not have a connection for a specific sound so the result is no sound (nor ATC nor external).

Can someone give me a clue?

And just another thing, Does someone has the true specifications (specially speeds, range, etc.) for the Jetstream 41?

Many thanks for your help.

Saludos

Well, yes, in fact this plane is the only plane that fails, if I change and go back to the previous panel (kingair) the sound comes again. ???

It is the FS 2002 Generic Twin Turboprop panel v2.0 made by David Burgin, it is in page 9 of the download/panels section of this site. And the default carried by the plane is the standard King Air version.

By the way Tipster you've got another wonderful panel (Baron58).
Really wonderful.

Yes it is, I downloaded from Air Al Andalus, but the model was originally made by Tom Woods. I checked for the panel in his web (www.jetstream.41.btinternet.co.uk) but I preferred the one by D. Burgin.

Many thanks for your effort.

Check your fs2002.cfg file in the root FS2002 directory for a line that says:

[OldModules]
fssound.dll=1

If it's not there, try adding it.

Thanks zcotto, but the question is anywhere in the file or is there a specific line to insert_

I imagine it must be that, because in the FS Edit the panel cannot be edited because it is in another format.
