Newcommer help

Postby RobinG » Mon Mar 24, 2003 4:56 pm

I am a relative novice and have been enjoying 2002 for some time.  Now most of my planes bank to the left as if the yoke was pulled over.  I have reconfigured joystick and set wind to 0 but still it happens, but not to all aircraft.  Can anyone advise please? ???

You have probably increased the realism settings, and the torque effect of the engine is doing this. Or you are accidentally pushing the rudder (my favourite old trick), press 5 on the numeric pad to center it.

Thanks Ozzy, you were right in that somehow I had inadvertantly adjusted the realism settings, it was the torque - that's why it didn'y effect my gliders!

Get back to your thrinking now - have one on me

If you reinstalled and recalibrated your controller, and the diagnostic software said everything is OK, your problem is proably due to the Autopilot being engaged.  Disengage it.

Sometimes the sometime get carried over to latter A/C's after you save a plane in flight while on Autopilot.  This happen to me on several cccasion.  I experienced the same symtoms as you described.  Went through the same troubleshoot; only to find out it was the blasted AP.

If this doesnt solve it, you might have software conflicts in FS.
Honk, if you like my flying!!!

The one that gets me sometimes is having lost control of one or more engines by typing outside of the chatbox.   I've flown some distance thinking that high altitude winds were the problem and only realizing the true nature of it when I am landing. :P
