Forward Cockpit View on Approach

Postby ss89 » Tue Mar 11, 2003 2:07 pm

In FS2002 am unable to assign pan view down to Hat Switch on MS Prec Pro joystick, enabling a better forward view of runway on final approach with nose raised. In FS2000 Assigning Pan View Down to one of 4 positions on Hat Switch works. On FS2002 can only assign 1 function to Hatswitch unlike Pan View Up, Pan View Down,Right,Left. in FS2000. Anybody know how to overcome this in 2002. Thanks ???

I think what you want to do is lower your eyepoint.  Try shift-enter a couple of times.  Space will restore it.  I suppose you could assign a hat key to do this.

Unfortunately, the hat switch assingment in FS2002 is global. Consequently, you can't (to the best of my knowledge) assign an individual direction on it to a specific function.

As WebbPA says, Shift+enter and Shift+backspace alter the view up and down, with spacebar resetting it.
