Help w/panels

Postby JerryKGSP » Wed Feb 19, 2003 11:01 pm

I am new to FS (2 months).  Using MSFS2002.  Have downloaded DAsh-8 which is aliased to Beechcraft panel.  When i try to fly Dash 8 the learjet panel comes up.  Everything esle seems ok.  What an I doing wrong.

Hey Jerry:

Check the folder your aircraft is in-take a look at the panel folder and open the config file. I'm willing to bet it's aliased to the lear panel.

Hey Jerry:

Sorry about this. I was going to ask, are you running standard or the pro version? If standard, there is no beechcraft panel to aliase to, which no doubt is the root of the cause.

Thanks, I will take a look and I am running the standard FS2002.  There was a T-2 Generic 2 Engine Turbo Prop Panel by Bruce Upperton but could not get that to work either.  Are there better panels out there for this aC??

I'm not really sure, Jerry. I don't really fly the Dash 8. There is one that is really cool but I couldn't get some of the gauges to work. So, I just uninstalled it. It's a fellow that has a Slovik name. Hold the phone. I just went to fsplanet  www.fsplanet.com  On the very first page there is a panel by Mike Stone that is a beechcraft panel. You may want to check it out. Another site you can go to is www. flightsim.com. This time of day/night you should be able to get in there relatively easy. You have to register for this site though. Go to their main menu once registered, scroll down until you see Search File Libraries. Click on that and you will see a drop down box. Select fs2002 panels, then type in the field 'text to search for' Dash 8. Hope you find what you're looking for!
