Is it just me or is Big, Bigger, Biggest very prejudiced to America?

This is especially noticeable in the Aircraft Carrier episode.

For example:

One of the ships they have is the Midway Class. The leap that they claim was made by it was the Armoured Flight Deck but this was first pioneered on HMS Illustrious in 1940.
