All I can say is they shouldn't have made #2, the original was a classic and they should never have been messed about with the concept...

They're not the only ones that messed with it. ::)

The scenery is all wrong ;D
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Since the day I saw the film, I was certain that they would make a sequel. No doubt, Sam is going to try and system restore his father, or create his own grid.

The original is a classic, and Legacy was just a different perspective and a different approach to it. I think the sequel worked well. I'd love to see rollercoaster spin offs of it too  ;D

They usually make sequels or "threequels" On how much money they make on the Current one. Which is why most Sequels are worse than the first :-/

I love the original, and I liked the sequel, I thought it was good enough when compared to the original.

The rumor had been them doing a new trilogy, starting with the next movie.  If you get the dvd or blu-ray of Tron: Legacy, there's a whole 15 minute short film sort of talking about a bunch of stuff happening right after Sam gets out, including Ram returning from the original (same actor too).  Then there's a little thing at a console which is young Dillinger talking to old Dillinger, with old Dillinger having a computer voice of the MCP

I thought the new one was cool, especially since they brought back Jeff Bridges who is one of my favorite characters.  As far as the third version...can't say until I see it.  Sometimes sequels work.  As long as they don't kill it like Lucas did with Star Wars or Disney with "Pirates"

The original Tron is one of my all-time favourite films...

Being a dedicated computer enthusiast since the 1970's, it always amazes me how clever the story line, and its accompanying computer graphics, represented the detailed internal workings of a computer....quite amazing for its time!
Having greatly enjoyed the original, (with its graphics simplicity), the sequel was a big disappointment for me, and was just an excuse to generate some new, fancy CGI effects, just for the sake of it!

Nothing beats the "originals", regarding films...(like the Star Wars trilogy)!

Paul....B&W, silent movies!.... ;)...!
