Recommend any good horror films?

Postby Rich H » Mon Aug 23, 2010 3:56 pm

Me and my friends are going to have a film night tomorrow, anyone know any good horror films? Got to be 15 or below. I was looking at The Shining, but have to see whether Blockbuster has it or not.

Don't know what the age limits in the UK are but you could try:

The Grudge part 1, 2 and 3
Resident Evil part 1, 2, 3 and 4
SAW part 1 (is the best) the rest is OK but getting boring
House of wax
Wrong turn

Just to name a few of my favourites.

Patty and I revisit the Saw series once in a while. As mentioned above, don't watch them all in one night or familiarity will cause boredom. Pat says her choice would be the Psycho series (Bates Motel) or "Pet Semetery" by Stephen King.

If you want really good scary movies you could also go for some classics:

The Exorcist (I'm waiting for the new one; The last Exorcism)
Poltergeist (I believe there are more parts of this one)
Nosferatu (really old movie)

John Carpenter films are always good. Including favourites such as The Thing and Prince of Darkness ;)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
