More Horrors!

Biffy Clyro:
"Many of Horror"

For the past couple of weeks my super-sensitive ears have been bombarded by this horrendous song on my Radio day after day!... >:(...!

How any Guitarist can think its clever to make rasping noises on their Guitar strings as they are "playing?", is quite beyond me!
..and that's not to mention the drippy words being "sung?" (eg: James Blunt, et al)... >:(...!

Lord, preserve us from it... ::)...!

Paul.... ;)... ;)... ;)...!

Listen to this at your peril!... :o...>>>

I think that 'screech' on the strings can be a very powerful part of a riff and help to add some depth and passion to the part, as long as it's not overdone like this one.

I note that professional Guitarists/Lutenists take great care to avoid it.
I play a variety of stringed instruments, and avoid finger slides by placing the fingers accurately on the finger board, before striking the strings.

...and I still hate that recording!... ;)...!

Apparently, they are not familiar with Finger Ease.
And I agree with you Paul.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
