I happen tio have his Dangerous and You Are Not Alone CDs only because they were left to me. As for his personal indiscretions, another authority of another realm will have to judge that; I've seen many blatant slurs of another well-known, most certainly made with no honest knowledge of the accused.
Personally, I once wasn't hired because my hair covers my ears; for that reason and when I've rejected the flirtations of certain females (of different age ranges, no less) I've even been called gay (mind you, I've never been thrilled enough to do cartwheels to warrant that adjective); when I ignored an evidently 'unhappily' married wife, it was deemed I must be a pedophile (truth be, Ive slept with children -- some my own cousins -- but I've never sexually touched anyone of any gender or species... I don't believe in marriage for sex and sex without love).
I can't condemn Michael Jackson for any cause although he has done some foolish things. His facial surgery, in my outlook, was totally vain, if not actually degrading his appearance; he could have donated that money to some victim who truly needed such surgery.
All in all, I don't believe his death deserves any more publicity than anyone else's -- no more so than Farrah Fawcett's -- but we still note their passing.

I didn't like his music, wasn't a fan of the man himself and didn't like the "negative" publicity that seemed to follow him around.

I'm also not shocked or surprised at his early passing away, he was never going to live to be an old man.

However, somebody's death is always sad.

I do agree with that, but if the world doesn't stop to mourn about the death of all the people that die each day, today certainly shouldn't be different...

Not telling people, not to mourn or anything... you know, what I mean.
