Sad news.  I enjoyed the Kung Fu series.  It was re-run a few years ago on some local station, so finally got to see most of the episodes.

He was in Bankok making a movie.  The timing of this unfortunate event seems rather odd, I'd say.

Very sad.
I am shocked that he would kill himself- he certainly wasn't really as "together" as a lot of the characters he portrayed ("Bill" was probably closer to the truth- a very smart, disciplined person with a soft side but many "demons")... but he just didn't seem the type.

Maybe he had just found out he was terminally ill or something? But even then, I think he'd either decide to fight, or bow out in a more dignified way, with an explanation left behind.
Or maybe it was foul play... who knows?
Regardless, it makes me sad, and I'll miss him. He had a special presence onscreen.

Yes, it's sad, more so because of the suicide. I did not really care for him lately, but that doesn't change the fact that he was a very good actor. My favorite role was the blind man in Circle of Iron. It is also one of my all time favorite martial arts movies. If you have not seen it, it would be worthwhile to rent it. It also had Christopher Lee, Roddy McDowall, and Eli Wallach. I may not have liked the roles he played in the last few years, but he will still be missed. :(

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Well, so far the Bangkok PD is accepting it as a suicide, but... it just seems wrong to me. As messed-up as he had been at times, he didn't seem capable of just giving up.
But then again, I didn't know the guy... and everybody has an inner life that is hidden, from even those closest to them.

His publicists insist that there is no way he committed suicide. This would tend to suggest that he must suspect foul play.  :-/

Apparently he was not only working on a movie, but he had several others in the works for the future.  :-/

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Auto erotic asphyxiation in Bangkok................you could not make it up if you tried (the black humour in me wants to put a laughing smiley here, as he actually died, I wont)
