New pendulum songs a little sub-standard?

Postby machineman9 » Fri May 02, 2008 5:11 pm

Not sure if there are others, but I have been listening to Granite and Propane Nightmares, but I dont think they were quite as good as the ones in Hold Your Colours.

Anyone else agree? I think it has turned a bit too techno instead of how it used to be.

I hope the next few songs are better because Pendulum are great, but seem to have had a dip.

I can't say I ever heared of them, but listening to some songs on youtube, it seems to be some sort of mix between the Prodigy and drum and base?

Some songs are cool, but to me, drum and base somehow always ends up sounding the same. Over and over again the same beats. Perhaps this is why you get used to it and are not a surprised as before?

Anyway, I learned about a new group, so thanks.  ;)

Drum and Bass over Base I think...

Though I must admit, Propane Nightmares is growing on me... Not so much a fan of Granite.

They are a good band... Their album, Hold Your Colours, was great though- mixing bits from movies such as Spiderman, Original Charlie and the choccy factory and some others... War of the Worlds too.

Very clever use, but I think I would have liked to see more of that.
