Watch out, Beadle's about

Well he isn't anymore, it's just been announced he died today of pneumonia, and was battling leukaemia.

As cheesy as he was, I'm saddened by this, he was ahead of his time in the entertainment industry and will be sorely missed.

He also used to fill in on my local radio station, BBC London, and showed great wit and humour.

He was a great charity fundraiser and was awarded the MBE in 2001

I was quite surprised when I heard, but then looking at the news I'd missed over the past week he'd been seriously ill in hospital for several days.

An excellent entertainer. RIP.
